Delta-8 THC has psychoactive and intoxicating effects. Taking too much delta-8 THC can lead to undesirable side effects such as anxious feelings, paranoia, dry mouth, upset stomach, and drowsiness. They both metabolize into 11-hydroxy-THC, technically, but more specifically delta 8 metabolizes into 11-hydroxy-delta 8-THC and delta 9 metabolizes into, well, you can guess.
